Biographical note: Robert Stuart Sanders, a native of Shelby County, Kentucky, received degrees from Washington and Lee University and the Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, and later served Presbyterian churches in Fayette, Jefferson, Woodford, and Bourbon Counties.
